Vietnam Coconut Export Market in July 2025 – Strong Surge in Global Demand
1. Coconut prices in Vietnam hit a 2-year high
Vietnam coconut export prices are rising sharply in July 2025, especially in major coconut-producing regions such as Bến Tre and Trà Vinh, and Tiền Giang, dry coconuts are now selling for VND 130,000–150,000 per dozen (12 coconuts). That’s 3 to 4 times higher than prices during the same period last year.
This rise is helping coconut farmers earn better profits, and it’s also impacting how exporters and buyers do business.

2. Why Is Vietnam Coconut Export Seeing Price Increases?
There are a few main reasons:
✅ Low supply: In 2023 and early 2024, coconut prices were too low, so many farmers stopped caring for their trees or even cut them down. Now, there’s not enough coconuts to meet demand.
✅ Export demand is rising: More buyers from China, Korea, the Middle East, and Europe are placing new orders, leading to a noticeable increase in Vietnam coconut export activity across all product categories.
✅ Factories are buying more: Coconut processors in Vietnam are increasing their purchases to fill large export orders.
✅ Higher value of coconut-based products: Coconut oil, coconut water, coconut coir, and other processed products are selling well in international markets.
3. Outlook for the rest of 2025
According to the Vietnam Coconut Association and other local reports:
Prices may stay high through Q3 2025, especially if supply remains limited
The next harvest season (around September–October) might ease prices slightly
Export demand is expected to grow, especially from Asia, Europe, and the Middle East
